Sep. 8--Thailand has set a deadline of November this year for trade negotiations with India to be completed or the long-pursued trade talks could be stalled for good, Commerce Ministry officials say.
"We therefore said that one month after our discussions on 20th of last month, we want an answer as there would be no use to push for the talks as we have been discussing this for years now," Commerce Minister Krirk-Krai Jirapaet said in an interview.
"We have been trying to find a way out and now have put the ball in the Indian court, and we have to see how the game is played."
