NSW: Acid leaks onto road on state s far north coast

Acid has leaked on a road after an accident on the far north coast of New South Wales
overnight, leaving a man trapped in an overturned vehicle.

Police say a flat bed truck rolled onto its roof on the Summerland Way, 20km south
of Casino at about 3.25 am (AEDT).

The truck caught fire but was extinguished by a passing motorist, however police say
the vehicle's load of acid leaked.

The driver remains trapped in the cabin and his condition is yet to be confirmed.

Police say the road is expected to remain closed for several hours while emergency
crews cut the man from the wreckage and clear the road.
