Qld: Husband exonerated in Atherton deaths

A Queensland man has been exonerated after an inquest into the deaths of his wife and
her best friend nine years ago.

The bodies of 26-year-old JULIE-ANNE MARGARET LEAHY and her friend 28-year-old VICKI
ARNOLD were found in Mrs LEAHY's four wheel drive outside Atherton in north Queensland
in 1991.

A coronial inquest and subsequent investigations concluded Ms ARNOLD shot her friend
in the head before killing herself in the same way.
